The newly opened Exmoor Pony Centre is on our doorstep. There are fabulous walks over the varied Exmoor terrain, the Two Moors Way and the Coleridge Way and many other well marked routes. Horse riding, fishing, shooting, golf, the Tarka trail and other cycle routes are all nearby. We are also within a 10 minute drive of Wimbleball Lake, where the Half Iron Man competition takes place, sailing and water sports are also available
Nearby is Tarr Steps – an ancient clapper bridge, the pretty villages of Winsford, Exford and Dunster with its historic castle and medieval high street and yarn market. There's also Porlock, Minehead and the West Somerset Railway where you can take a ride on a steam train. Lynton, Lynmouth and the nearby Doone valley – the setting for R D Blackmore's famous novel Lorna Doone, there are also several National Trust properties in the area worth visiting. Wildlife Safaris over Exmoor, trips to Lundy Island or the beautiful North Devon blue flag beaches as well as several theme parks for the younger generation. The list goes on and on!!
