Set in its own 40 acres, 16th century Tarr Farm Inn nestles just above Tarr Steps and the River Barle. Only 7 miles from Dulverton, through beautiful wooded valleys and across the open moorland of Winsford Hill with stunning views of Wales, Devon and Dartmoor, Tarr Farm is the ideal location to take advantage of all that Exmoor National Park and North Devon has to offer.
Tarr Farm has recently been awarded the AA 5 star Highly Commended Inn award
for 2007-2008, being 1 of only 2 in the UK to achieve this.
Each of the nine rooms at Tarr Farm Inn has been designed to provide every modern comfort. Fresh and contemporary, the bedrooms and bathrooms are generously proportioned and little luxuries such as organic bath products, power showers and full size baths, the fluffiest bathrobes and towels and Egyptian cotton sheets are included.
Television, DVD and CD players allow you to really relax, while a pull-out desk, broadband access and direct dial telephone makes working convenient. You'll find all the facilities you'd expect – iron and ironing board, mini bar and tea and coffee making – plus some you might not, like the homemade biscuits, personal safes and basket of essentials you may have forgotten.
Dogs are welcome in some of the rooms and we can provide feed bowls, blankets and towels for canine guests.
"Rarely have we had such a well equipped room: large TV and DVD player, homemade biscuits, fresh milk in the fridge. There is no soap but instead bottles of lavender shower gel, hand and body conditioner, shampoo. Fluffy towels and bath robes. All very luxurious."
