Roadwater dates back to the thirteenth century. In the nineteenth century ore was transported down from the Brendon Hills. You can walk the old Mineral Line today. Roadwater is the longest village in Somerset and Exmoor. It is part of the Coleridge Way Walk making Trinity Cottage an ideal b and b stop for those walking the route. Roadwater has a village shop, a garage and an excellent pub serving good food and ales. You can leave the car behind and enjoy a drink or two!
