Dulverton is known as the southern gateway to the Exmoor National Park, 2 miles from the Devon/Somerset border, a short drive to Tarr Steps and Wimbleball Lake and only half an hour car journey to Exmoor's North Devon and West Somerset coast.
Winsbere B&B is surrounded by pretty gardens and country views with woodland at the back of the house where an abundance of woodland sounds including owls can be heard on a clear night. We are conveniently situated just a 10 minute stroll from the delightful Exmoor town centre of Dulverton and public transport passes the front gate. Winsbere is an ideal base from which to explore explore Exmoor Nat Park, North Devon and West Somerset.
Exmoor House in the town is the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park Authority. There are an interesting selection of shops, a Bank, Post Office, 3 Churches, the Exmoor National Park Visitor Centre and Dulverton Heritage Centre. There are excellent tea rooms offering light lunches and delicious cream teas plus pubs and restaurants providing good food and local ales.
